We are never too old to finally do something for ourselves!
When I went in for my consultation, I really didn't know what to expect. Dr. Daw was incredibly professional and took the time to thoroughly explain everything he was going to do. Even though I had done a little research (my daughter did most of it), I was still scared — especially after hearing from a friend who experienced a lot of pain after her tummy tuck.
But the night before my surgery, I had a dream that I wasn't in any pain... and to my surprise, that dream came true. After surgery, I was still under anesthesia, of course— but even later that night, I felt no pain.
The next day, still no pain. I took Ibuprofen, but never experienced anything close to what my friend had described.
By the second day, I was able to shower and remove the bandages and wrap. And let me tell you - miracle. I still can't believe what Dr. Daw accomplished. My stomach is flat. I never expected these results.
All I can say is thank you, Dr. Daw, for helping me feel beautiful again. I haven't felt this good about myself in a very long time.
Dr. Daw rocks!

Q:What is recovery from plastic surgery in Chicago like?
A:
It’s important to understand that each patient has a different pain tolerance, so the recovery process is unique to each individual. The procedure that was performed also has a large impact on what the recovery process is like. For major surgeries, your doctor will prescribe you the proper medications to take to help manage your pain following the procedure. Make sure to take any medications as prescribed and feel free to contact your doctor directly with specific questions as they arise.
Your doctor will also outline what you can expect during the recovery process and make sure that you are comfortable with post-op instructions and care. Our team is a helpful resource that will be guiding you throughout every step of this process.
